After the success of the Trust’s first venture in Eldorado Park at Cavendish Primary, it was decided to identify more schools in the area. Eldocrest Primary School successfully ticked all the boxes and the decision to assist the school was unanimously accepted.
Due to its structure (this is our only school with a library on the ground floor and private reading rooms on the first floor), it was not possible to implement the reading lessons using the Trust’s existing model. To circumvent this, the school has assisted in appointing their own library assistant who manages the main library for lending and research, while the Trust’s assistant librarian does small group reading lessons in the private reading areas.
The true partnership is evident in the number of learners who continue to achieve top honours in our inter-school competitions.
