On 19 July 2021 Imfundo Middle School was given the news that they had been selected to receive a library and resource center from Imperial & Motus Community Trust.
The two rooms identified for the library were being used as classrooms at the time. The principal and his management team undertook to move these classes to other rooms that were being used as store rooms.
Stock for the library had been procured and our team began the process of covering and capturing books. Our builder started with the renovations and the center was complete by the 10th of September 2021.
The library resource center was handed over as part of Literacy Month to the department of Basic Education (Sedibeng West District) on the 15th of September 2021. A small group of guests from the District Office, principals of neighbouring schools, Imfundo’s school governing body and school management, along with Imperial & Motus trustees assembled to celebrate with the school community.
