Setlabotjha Primary School is a school in Eatonside Sebokeng that caters to learners from previously disadvantaged communities. This library marks number 23, established to date in the Sedibeng West District (but the 19th donated by Hyundai South Africa), bringing the total number of Imperial and Motus Community Trust libraries to 74.
The school has a beautiful building and an empty room, which was earmarked for the library. After visiting the school for a loco inspection, the renovations began to fit the size and shape of the library and the resource centre. Our team began preparing the library for handover with the requisite books and library resources.
The handover took place on 10 October 2023, with a beautiful function organized by Hyundai marketing staff. The education director and her officials attended the grand handover function along with the CEO and team from Hyundai South Africa, representation from Imperial Logistics and Motus Corporation, the governing body, school management, principals from neighbouring schools, and current principals of Imperial and Motus partner schools. The players from South Africa’s premier soccer team, Mamelodi Sundowns FC, and the learners of this proud school graced the occasion with excitement and joy.
